Questions, bug reports, preset requests, or just want to say the iPhone 4 preset nailed it? We'd genuinely like to hear from you.
Before you write, these come up a lot
Most of the mail we get is one of the questions below, and you can have the answer now instead of in two days. If yours isn't here, the form above is the right place.
“Where did my photo upload to?”
Nowhere. The editor is a WebGL shader that runs in your own browser tab, so the image is never sent to a server, and we have no copy of it to look at, store, or delete. A practical consequence: if you email us saying an edit went wrong, we genuinely cannot pull up your file. Send a screenshot instead.
“Does the download keep my EXIF and location data?”
No, and that is worth knowing in both directions. The export is drawn to a canvas and re-encoded, and that process does not carry EXIF across, so camera model, timestamp and GPS coordinates are dropped from the file you download. Good if you are posting publicly. Less good if you were relying on that metadata, in which case keep your original.
“My export looks softer than the preview.”
Check the export panel. There is a size option that caps the long edge at 1080px, and if that is switched on you are downloading a smaller image than the one you edited. Set it back to original size. Format matters too: JPEG is the default at quality 0.92, which is fine for photos, but PNG is the better pick if you added a heavy grain or date stamp and want it crisp.
“Can I put the date stamp on after I download?”
No. The stamp is baked into the exported image at download time, so decide before you save. If you want a version with and without it, export twice.
“My photo won't open.”
The editor accepts whatever image formats your browser can decode, which covers JPEG, PNG and WebP everywhere. HEIC is the usual culprit when a file refuses to load, and where you are matters: picking a photo on an iPhone normally works, because iOS hands the page a converted copy. Dragging a raw .heic into a desktop browser is the case that fails, and converting it to JPEG first fixes it.
Things we can't do, so you don't have to ask
Video is not supported, only still photos. There is no background removal and no generative fill, because both would mean sending your image to a server and that is the one thing this tool is built not to do. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to log into and no subscription to cancel.
Still stuck, or think you found a bug? Use the form above and tell us your browser and device. Those two details resolve most reports on the first reply.
